How to Play Double Joker Video Poker
The game of Double Joker Video
Poker is basically five-card draw poker played with a
deck of 54 cards, which include the standard 52 cards plus
two Jokers. The Jokers are wild cards, this meaning that
they can replace any other cards in order to compose a winning hand. The object of the game is to form the
highest possible winning poker hand. All winning hands
and their payoffs are listed on the machine and explained
below. The deck is reshuffled after each hand.
Bets:
Double Joker Video poker is played with 25¢,
50¢, $1 and $5 coins and the bets can be made with one to five coins,
that is, you can place bets of values from 25¢ to $25. Coins of different value cannot be
mixed in the same wager. You can choose any coin value by
clicking the mouse on the '+' or '-' buttons at the lower right of the
screen. The selected coin is visible between these buttons and its
value shown above it.
To place a bet, click on the coin receiver
slot on the lower right. You can click once, twice or up to five times, each click adding a new coin to your bet.
Alternately, you can also place a bet by clicking on the coin itself.
Additionally you can make a one coin bet by clicking on the "Bet One"
button, as many times as you wish, up to five times. If you so prefer,
you can place a bet of five coins with a single click on the "Bet Max"
button. Clicking on the "Repeat" button places a bet equal to the that
placed in the last hand.
How to play: To start the game, first make
your bet, as explained above, then click on the
"DEAL" button, which is activated once a wager
is made. The machine deals you five cards. You will have
a second round of cards and you form the final poker hand
by keeping some of these first five cards and replacing
the bad ones with new cards of the second
"draw" round. To keep a card you click the
mouse on the "HOLD" button below that card or on the card
itself. A
"Held" mark is shown on the selected cards . Then click again on the "DEAL" button and all
the unheld (discarded) cards are replaced by new ones and
the final hand is formed. If you succeed making a winning
hand, you will see the prize flashing on the screen,
while your winnings drop into the coin bucket, and your
account is automatically increased by the amount of the
prize.
Sound:
The game sounds can be controlled
with the "SOUND" button. When the game starts, sounds may not be active
because sound files download may delay a few seconds. The sound is
active when the "SOUND" button is depressed and illuminated. To deactivate
it, click and release this button. Click on it again to resume playing
sounds.
Music:
You can choose to hear music while
playing the game by depressing or releasing the "MUSIC" button, which is
done by clicking the left mouse button on it. Music volume is lower than
the sounds of the games, so you can hear both. The game starts with the
music turned off. As tune files are lengthy, they take some time to
download, so when you turn it on, a few seconds elapse before the music
begins. Tunes have a duration of about three minutes, and when one is
finished it is replaced by a new one chosen at random. The music is
turned off when the "SOUND" button or the "MUSIC" button is released.
If you don't like a tune, you can stop it and start playing a new on by
releasing the "MUSIC" button and clicking on it again.
Prizes: Prizes are paid in coins of the
same value of the coins wagered and are listed on the
machine screen. For the same hand, prizes increase
accordingly with the number of coins betted. For example,
a natural Royal Flush will win 400 coins of 25¢ value
($100) if the bet was one 25¢ coin, while the same hand
would win 3000 chips of 5$ value ($15,000) if the bet was 5
$5 coins.
Odds:
Odds in draw video poker cannot be
predicted because they depend on the player's actions. There's an element of skill in video
poker: Decisions of which cards to keep must be made
which, unlike slot machines, will determine whether and
how much you can win. The poker machines at the 4
Jacks Casino conform to the rules and
payoff regulations found in Las Vegas and casinos all around
the world.
Winning
hands: The winning poker hands, in descending
order of rank,
are the following:
